LIFT is a year focused on embracing connection with God, others, & your calling. But what does that journey look like throughout the year?

Fall Semester

End of August - November

Implement outdoor leadership skills from classes by leading excursions, including climbing, canoeing, caving, hiking, and backpacking.
Engage with the following classes: Spiritual Transformation I, Bible & Theology, Leadership Training I, and Missions Practicum.
Practice servant leadership as you serve conference groups with your LIFT peers here while also serving in the local Speculator community.
Grow through one-on-one mentorship and regular small group discussions.
Travel stateside for a mission trip, broadening your understanding of mission work in different contexts.
Shadow industry professionals to gain valuable insights into potential career paths and further explore your calling.

Spring Semester

January - April

Expand on what you learned the first semester through these classes: Spiritual Transformation II, Historical Theology & Cultural Engagement, Leadership Training II, and Holistic Ministry Practicum.
Travel abroad on a mission trip to Guatemala where you will serve at a ministry site alongside local missionaries.
Gain valuable insights through professional development seminars taught by industry professionals.
Hone your leadership skills through snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and winter camping excursions.
Continue to practice servant leadership as you serve conference groups and the local Speculator community.
Foster deeper relationships with your mentor and small group.

Leadership Practicum

June - August

The spring semester builds on the fall to prepare you for your summer Leadership Practicum. During the practicum, you will gain valuable hands-on professional experience through a paid leadership position with CAMP-of-the-WOODS Summer Staff, Tapawingo, or a partner ministry such as Deerfoot.
