Rosie Robbins
When Rosie was twelve, she started going to Tapawingo, there realizing her need for a Savior. She committed her life to Christ that first summer and has been learning more about her need for the gospel ever since. After two years at Appalachian State University, and after much prayer, Rosie took a gap year, the second half of which was spent going through the LIFT Program at COTW. She then finished her religious studies degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Rosie met her now husband, Asher Gray, through the LIFT program! They moved to Boston in 2020 directly after getting married.
Rosie has been serving on staff with the Navigators at Boston University for the past 3 years. The mission of this collegiate work is to assist college students in knowing Christ, making Him known, and helping others do the same. She helps college students grow in these areas through small-group Bible studies, Life-to-Life discipleship, and community gatherings. Rosie has found that many college students are desperate for someone to come alongside them as they work through their questions and doubts about God’s character. She believes that God has called her to Boston University for this reason, to be a resource, friend, and mentor to these students.
The Boston metro area has only 2-3% of people identifying as evangelical Christians, leading Rosie into many evangelistic conversations and relationships. Boston University has a total enrollment of about 33,000 students, and around 11,000 of those are international students! For this reason, the BU Navigators ministry is extremely diverse. Rosie has had the opportunity to disciple students from Ghana, China, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan, and Spain. She is passionate about helping each student encounter the living God and reaching the nations with the gospel!
Prayer requests:
For students in the ministry to become mature and fully equipped to make disciples, not just in college, but for a lifetime. That God would give these students a missionary mindset wherever they are sent (in their dorms, abroad, or in the workplace).
For the BU Navigators staff team to daily abide in Christ, pursue unity with one another, and lead students as the Holy Spirit directs them.
For the Lord to open up doors of opportunity; to invest in those who don’t know Jesus. That God would draw students to Himself, and unveil darkened minds to the truth of the gospel in Boston.
