The Rift Valley Academy has often been described by parents of RVA students as a greenhouse for future missionaries.  Hundreds and hundreds of RVA graduates have gone on to serve the Lord in full time missions work over the 100+ years of RVA’s existence.  I would say that we are cultivating, planting and watering the next generation of missionaries!  At RVA alone there are currently 16 former students, out of a total staff of 120, now serving in a variety of capacities.  The other commonly heard statement is ‘we couldn’t do what we do if it were not for the Rift Valley Academy.’  The families of many of the students at RVA are serving in harvest fields that are often difficult and dangerous as well, with no good educational opportunities for their children.  Knowing that their children are being well educated in a safe and loving environment allows them to effectively minister to the lost in the place to which God has called them.  Additionally, it is a common sight for teams of RVA students and staff heading off into local villages on Sunday mornings to do street ministry, hospital visitation and run Sunday School programs in local churches.  As a department of AIM International, the Rift Valley Academy is fully engaged in the process of seeing Christ Centered Churches Among All African Peoples.

AIM International Mission Statement: With priority for the unreached, Christ-centered church communities among all the peoples of Africa demonstrate transformed lives that proclaim Christ.  The central ministry foci of AIM is as follows:

  2. Mobilizing churches and believers to missional disciple-making with priority for unreached people groups of Africa.

  4. Serving and supporting those engaged in 1,2,and 3.
