Egypt/Sudan Project

God has been working in Egypt and Sudan, two countries with majority Muslim populations and Islamic-controlled governments. Through a newly established Pioneers Mobilization Office in Egypt, He is raising up believers in these two nations to engage in outreach and church planting among unreached people.

COTW has partnered with Pioneers on a project that mobilizes, trains, sends, and sustains Egyptian and Sudanese Christ-followers in outreach — both locally to Muslims and refugees and globally in cross-cultural evangelism. The goal is to establish churches in places where Christ is not known or worshipped. Pioneers equips and sends nationals from the Middle East, focusing initially on Egyptians and Sudanese. However, their vision is to send other Arab indigenous believers across the Arabic-speaking region as God leads and opens doors.

Pioneers, through its mobilization base in Egypt, is also actively partnering with other organizations to help provide for the economic, educational, physical, and psychological needs of the Sudanese refugees in the community. They have helped create a microfinancing program for future entrepreneurs that it has trained, given trauma care to youth, created a refugee sports program, worked to improve local refugee schools, and helped start a sewing company for refugee mothers. All of these programs are integrated into the church planting strategy of Pioneers giving access to many non-believers as well as creating job opportunities for many of our church planters so that they can provide for their families.
